America’s Real Deal

Fix the website flow before you launch ads

What Ivan found
  • Viewers, entrepreneurs and investors need separate pages and ad accounts
  • Walls of small text with no visual guide push older investors away
  • Heavy video use slows the site and can raise ad costs

00:00Introduction

00:00Hey, George. So I had a bit of time now to finally go over everything and.

00:05Sorry, the last week was just a bit more insane that I'm used to.

00:10I wanted to give you some valuable, information here that they think you need to be aware of.

00:15Advertising Strategy

00:15So you're thinking about launching ads and if I was the person that's supposed to build a strategy for advertising a TV show like this, so what to do to advertise a show like this and actually get everything to

00:30scale, the first thing that we have as a problem is a, not logical flow, or maybe not 100% logical flow, of the website.

00:39Website Performance

00:39So right now the website is kind of slower because of the website, how it's constructed with all of the videos.

00:46I am kind of concerned that that might cause issues and bloating as the website continues to develop and that incurs additional costs with problems and stuff like that.

00:54But let's leave that for later. The main thing that I see is that there's a lot things going on, a lot of text, and then you're not really sure where to go because the user is really heavily expected

00:55User Experience

01:05to understand that they can invest in the fund, be on the show and stuff like that.

01:10Investment Call-to-Action

01:10So I kind of think that that's. Even though that's like in the menu, I still think that that needs to be, taken on independently better.

01:21So, that's one of, one part of it I'm.

01:27Hey, George. Sorry that it took me a while to do this, but I now have time to go over everything.

01:33The last week was insane. basically I see some stuff that you need to address before you invest into the ads.

01:40And so if I was the business owner or the key investor behind, this TV show, America's Real Deal, the first thing that I would look at is how the website flows.

01:50So how are we going to convert all of these people that we're trying to attract?

01:54So now one of the things that I, understand, we want to get them to the.

01:58We want to get them to the specific streaming pages and things like that, which is fine, but then from here on we're kind of expecting them to go towards like season one be on the show investment of the

02:11fund. So I think that just the user experience is not intuitive and it's going to be a lot of different cohorts of people.

02:16It's going to be just watchers. Then there's going to be people that are entrepreneurs trying to join the show and there might be investors.

02:21So all three are quite different in between them.

02:25And I think that just this website, is putting everybody in the same cauldron and expecting it to like, get properly, like, filtered.

02:33And I think that down the road you will see a big problem where people are not really 100% sure what to do, where to go.

02:39Another thing that I wanted to point out, using videos heavily on website does cause a lot of slowing down of the performance.

02:47So that might help, causing you to have more costs with ads and performance issues.

02:54one of the things. So those are just some small things.

02:57The core thing that you need to address is that especially if you run ads on YouTube and Facebook and things like that, you're going to get mostly like phone traffic, mobile phones.

03:07And so that's why I have it open like here.

03:10I know that this doesn't look bad initially, but you can imagine on a smaller screen, like.

03:16And on top of it, I would say that an average investor I opened the investors page here would be somebody a bit older.

03:22A bit older, meaning they were glasses. So there's nothing to guide their eye.

03:27There's, the squintest makes me want to just run away from this website.

03:31And I'm just afraid that you're gonna spend so much money and time trying to get people to invest and pay and become a part of this, when most of them are just gonna see how much text there is

03:41and run away. So I think that first step would be to actually map out how the website needs to behave, which type of traffic goes where, how to convert each of them.

03:52can you actually track the conversions? And then through that, then I would figure out the avenues of approach.

03:58I asked you on our previous call, what is going to be the main profit point?

04:03Because we're not going to make that much money on the viewers, I don't think, even at all.

04:07Usually it's not going to be profitable at all.

04:10So then we have the entrepreneurs that might be interesting and might provide money and, or the investors.

04:17So we can develop individual lines, like individual sub domains to advertise for each and build landing pages relevant to them.

04:25Because I think that's going to end up being the thing you have to do multiple, multiple ad accounts for each one of those because there's a big difference between them.

04:33And if we just jumble everything in one ad account, Dahlgren is not going to understand the difference between a viewer, entrepreneur or an investor.

04:40And with that, it's just going to keep shotgunning the wrong people with offers and you're not going to have conversions plus the website, plus if we don't have the tracking, plus if we're not 100% sure how the traffic

04:50should flow. Like, there's a lot of things that I would prepare before I'm, ready to pull the trigger on spending money on this, but I hope this helps.

05:00Let's jump on another call and discuss this if you want.

05:02I'm not sure, like, I hope you don't mind my negative feedback towards this, but I am trying to save you the costs of, like, this attrition.

05:11That's unnecessary. Anyways, I hope you're having a great week, George, and yeah, let's talk soon.
